Got back to practicing self-talk, though without recording it on the camera due to the obvious weakness of my speech. There is enough confidence, clarity and consistency, yet I want to wait for a while until the awareness of recording completely ceases to distract me. I think it’s gonna take a week or so to gain enough courage to expose myself to the “omniscient” public eye and ear. It’s quite clear that the regularly practiced self-talk restructures the stream of consciousness, making it better organized. However, at the same time, it requires a lot of energy, so much so that the amount of energy spent on regular physical exercises is nothing in comparison with it.

This week, I began studying the concept of confidence. I’m inclined to go as far as possible to get the most significant knowledge, which exists in English language, related to this concept. The feeling of confidence, which we all know from experience (or at least from the experience of self-doubt, the opposite of confidence) has deep roots in our worldview. It’s fair to say that the more freedom we have, the less confident we’re gonna be. If, on the other hand, we dismiss the concept of freedom as monstrous fiction, we may reach the highest possible level of confidence. If we have no choice, we can’t make mistakes; thus everything we do is an inevitable combination of our nature and environmental conditions. Consequently, the future has no room for anything dreadful because everything has already happened, including our death. With that in mind, we may raise our confidence to the degree where the term itself would no longer mean anything. We just do whatever we do without being distracted by any doubt, though, paradoxically, we may be the greatest skeptics in the world.
